From the Clarks.........
Dear Pete, Kate, Alexandra and Christina,It was as late as Thursday the 13th of November that we learned of your loss through a chance meeting with Alistair Biggart. Of course we had all heard here in Blanefield of the tragic accident involving the little girl. Sad though that news was, we were insulated from the tragedy by the then anonymity of the players. The luxury of that insulation was stripped away when you were replaced as the Parents and Sisters of that beautiful little girl. We continue to think how unkind, how unjust your loss is. While we are not religious, we feel certain that out of every tearful, precious memory you hold of Erin will develop a solidity and serenity commensurate with the Joy that is Erin.To help you get there we shall be your Friends,Jim, Linda Clarke & Family

Hi Erin
Didn't know you personally but felt as though i did as i heard so much about you from Christina and saw so many pictures. In short a beautiful clever girl who made everyone proud. I was so so sad to hear about your accident and hope that you are happy in heaven. You clearly touched the lives of so many people and brought so much joy to those closest to you. You will remain in their hearts forever - you will never ever be forgotten. All i can say poppet is the world is not as pretty anymore without you in it. Look after Mummy, Daddy and your sisters and i sincerely hope as everyday goes on their pain eases a little more.

Thank You
Peter and Kate would like to thank everyone so much for their support,
prayers and expressions of love and sympathy at this awful time.
They respectfully ask for privacy to mourn Erin and spend this
precious time with her sisters Alexandra and Christina.
Erin’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the
entire team at Yorkhill Children’s Hospital,
led by Dr Chris Kidston. They encourage all to donate whatever they
can to the ‘Yorkhill Children’s Foundation’
to enable the amazing care to continue for other children.
If you haven’t before, please also think about donating blood.

Many thanks again.

A poem for Erin
Gods Lent Child
“I’ll lend you for a little while
A child of mine” God said
For you to love the while she lives
and mourn for when she’s dead
It may be six or seven years
or forty two or three
but will you till I call her back
take care of her for me?
She’ll bring her charms to gladden you
and should her stay be brief,
you’ll have her nicest memories
as solace for her grief
I cannot promise she will stay,
since all from earth return
but, there are lessons taught below
I want this child to learn
I’ve looked the whole world over,
in my search for teachers true,
and from the things that crowd life’s lane
I have chosen you
Now will you give her all your love,
nor think the labour vain,
nor hate me when I come to take
this lent child back again.
I fancied that I heard them say
“Dear Lord Thy Will Be Done”
for all the joys thy child will bring
the risk of grief will run
We’ll shelter her with tenderness,
We’ll love her while we may,
and for the happiness we’ve known
forever grateful stay
But should the angels call for her
much sooner than we planned,
We’ll brave the grief that comes
and try to understand.

Shining Star
Erin,
you are a shining star! We will always remember your beautiful smile, your shining eyes and every step you took as you skipped along the road.....you loved life and we will always love you. We will miss you terribly until we meet again, but you will forever remain in our hearts.
