Hi Erin
Didn't know you personally but felt as though i did as i heard so much about you from Christina and saw so many pictures. In short a beautiful clever girl who made everyone proud. I was so so sad to hear about your accident and hope that you are happy in heaven. You clearly touched the lives of so many people and brought so much joy to those closest to you. You will remain in their hearts forever - you will never ever be forgotten. All i can say poppet is the world is not as pretty anymore without you in it. Look after Mummy, Daddy and your sisters and i sincerely hope as everyday goes on their pain eases a little more.

My daughter, Ellen Brewster, was at Zoe Bell’s dance class with Erin.
We are all deeply saddened by the news of Erin’s tragic death. Erin had quite an affect on Ellen, mostly by making her laugh.
Our thoughts are with you all at this terrible time.

Dearest Kate, Peter and girls,
Words will never describe what you are going through just now. I attended Erin's requiem mass today and what a beautiful and touching service for such a beautiful girl. We remember Erin from her time in Cardross at Cardross playgroup with my youngest son, like a little princess. Your hearts must be breaking. We are so sorry for your loss. Life deals cruel blows sometimes. In our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Kate & Peter,
FOR LITTLE ERIN
First and foremost, our deepest sympathy to you both. We want you to know we have been touched by the life and death of little Erin and assure you of our prayers.
Any words we pen cannot begin to fill the void you must feel following the loss of your beautiful and precious daughter. We never knew little Erin, and yet we, through praying for her and for you, her loving parents, following her accident, we felt privileged to be, in a very small way, a part of the sunset days of her life.
Jesus, we read, sat with children on his knee and blessed them, but what was it that attracted children to him? Children sat around Jesus because He was open, warm, caring, friendly and fun to be with. That lovely picture of the real welcoming Jesus is one which, for Erin, will be true in heaven today. Little Erin is safe in the loving company of Jesus. We can almost picture her sitting with Jesus, at home and happy.
Erin in her life touched the hearts of many people in Milngavie through her simple, carefree and happy childhood. With her passing, she has won the affection and the hearts of many, not just in Milngavie, in her school : St Josephs : but beyond. Few children touch the lives of ordinary people in a way that brings a tear to the eye when their passing is heard of. Erin Bruce was such a girl.
Equally, few children leave a mark on your life even when you didn’t personally know them.
To them will be added the name of Erin Bruce : an angel in heaven.
With our love and prayers,
Glen & Adrienne Cartwright
Newton Mearns

It's difficult to find words that adequately express our sympathy at the loss of your beautiful Erin. I will always remember her as a sweet, intelligent, charming, helpful and loving child, with a smile that would always touch your heart, and I am very proud to say that I knew her and was one of her teachers. She will always have a special place in our hearts in St Joseph's and our love and prayers are with you all. Clare, Graham and Rachel Duns xx

Erin,
I never got the chance to tell you what a good friend you were to me. Ever since you sat next to me in P2 we became buddies and people started to say that we looked like each other. It was so funny, even the teachers were always getting us mixed up and both our mum's thought the same. But that wasn't all we had in common. We both loved to play Dogs on our Nintendo and I still have your dog Johnny on mine from when we last played. We both got voted onto the Pupil Council which was really funny because when we came running out of school together you told your mum that you had been elected and my mum thought I was going to be disappointed but then I told her that we both got the same number of votes and we were both so happy. Don't worry I will make sure that we get good things for all our classmates to play with at breaktime.
Probably though the one thing we really do share is our love of brussel sprouts, yes I know it's hard to believe because everybody else in the class hated them but we used to talk about how much we liked them.
I will never forget how nice you were to me last year when I was feeling sad and left out and you played with me at break time. I know that you will always be happy with all your new friends in heaven. I never got the chance to say
that we will play another day
I miss your smile lots and lots
and you are always in my thoughts.
Love Jordyn

Best wishes to Kate, Peter and Alexandra from Gena,Eamonn,Nicola,Megan and Jordyn
Dear Pete, Kate, Alexandra and Christina,It was as late as Thursday the 13th of November that we learned of your loss through a chance meeting with Alistair Biggart. Of course we had all heard here in Blanefield of the tragic accident involving the little girl. Sad though that news was, we were insulated from the tragedy by the then anonymity of the players. The luxury of that insulation was stripped away when you were replaced as the Parents and Sisters of that beautiful little girl. We continue to think how unkind, how unjust your loss is. While we are not religious, we feel certain that out of every tearful, precious memory you hold of Erin will develop a solidity and serenity commensurate with the Joy that is Erin.To help you get there we shall be your Friends,Jim, Linda Clarke & Family
Erin was a good friend. I remember watching her play Nintendo Dogs, watching High School Musical and learning the dances from the movie!
We went to the rugby together - West against Hawickxx - with Uncle Peter after McDonald's. It was fun time. I remember eating fudge together.
I remember her bossing me around!
I am really missing her.
lots of love from Thomas xxxx

Erin's pictures hang in the lounge room and we see her every day... Our beautful niece will never be forgotten.

I have been really moved reading the many comments here, that have painted a picture of a bright, joyful and beautiful little girl. It is also very clear that you have many good and close friends that I hope and I'm sure will continue to support and comfort you. My very best wishes to you all Gillian
